'Don't dig your grave with your own knife and fork’ - old English proverb
You can have a massive impact on your own health by what you eat - so are you eating towards health or sickness? It really is in your hands!
At this time of year it's important to eat warming nourishing foods and avoid 'junk' like processed foods, sugar and fizzy drinks. Soups made from winter vegetables are really good and simple to prepare, spiced with garlic, ginger, cumin and black pepper, they are delicious too!
At Mohsin Clinic of Natural Medicine we have a long track record of helping people with weight issues and we always work in a way that is holistic – that is, we look at your whole health overall, not just one aspect of it – so we don’t ignore your history or relationship with food, or compromise your overall health in a hurry to shed weight quickly. |

HEALTH TALK: Overcoming Anxiety & Depression
Monday 18 Oct, 7pm to 8.30pm
As summer comes to a close the days are getting shorter, the leaves start to fall and there's a chill in the air. Some people love this time of year! For others it's a real challenge. The move towards the colder, darker season can mean that we're more prone to feeling anxious and depressed.
Using natural methods we can overcome these feelings and feel happier and healthier in the months ahead.
We are offering a talk by our Consultant Herbalist Salim Khan, on Monday 18th Oct at 7pm, here at the Mohsin Clinic. You are welcome to attend if this is an issue that interests you. As well as a presentation from Salim there'll be a question and answer session and an information sheet.
Booking is essential as places are limited. A fee of £8 includes refreshments - some of our own lovely natural products of course!

Herbal Health Fair
We had a great Herbal Health Fair in June! A wide range of people came along and sampled our delicious Reyvibe and tried a range of tasty & nutritious honeys and nut butters.
Did you know we now sell cashew butter, almond butter and tahini? They are a great source of calcium, iron and other minerals, as well as protein. We stock a range of honeys including Scottish Heather, New Zealand Wild Thyme, the very popular English Honey & Ginger and local Leicestershire honey from Corner Plot Vegetables
www.cornerplotvegetables.co.uk
We served the Reyvibe hot – yes! Hot in June! It is refreshing either as a hot or cold drink diluted in water or, of course, you can just take a capful straight from the bottle for a fast effect. Reyvibe provides you with energy without over stimulating (it contains no caffeine) and the saffron gives a great uplift and increased sense of happiness and wellbeing.
Our visitors found out about the herbal consultation, with an opportunity to chat to Salim, our master herbalist, and about how medicines are freshly made here in our dispensary for you, using traditional ‘by hand’ methods.
Our small garden was looking good, despite a few months of neglect in the cold winter and people enjoyed seeing some herbs in their live state growing there. We’ve even had an offer of more herbs to plant from one visitor so that was nice!
All in all, we enjoyed the day so much we are holding an ‘Autumn Health Fair’ on 25th of September from 11am to 3pm – you’re welcome to come along, meet the team, taste some free samples and see all this for yourself.
As it’s autumn we’re also putting on a talk on ‘Overcoming Anxiety & Depression’ about natural ways you can combat this seasonal challenge. The cost is £8 and booking is essential as places are limited. Call or email us if you would like more information or to book a place or see our homepage for more information.
Thanks for visiting our website, we look forward to seeing you soon!
