In January and February 2011 Hakim M Salim gave a series of FREE talks at the clinic on losing weight naturally and some of his advice was:

‘At this time of year it's important to eat warming nourishing foods and avoid 'junk' like processed foods, sugar and fizzy drinks. Soups made from winter vegetables are really good and simple to prepare, spiced with garlic, ginger, cumin and black pepper, they are delicious too!’

It’s not just about the amount or type of food you eat but about understanding your body type and how you metabolise food, as well as the qualities and actions of different foods.
